The National Over 50’s Veterans Cricket Championships being hosted by Newcastle is fast approaching with the tournament formalities due to kick off with a Meet & Greet function on Saturday November 2nd at Club Charlestown. At this stage there are thirty teams who have confirmed their attendance from NSW, Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, the ACT, New Zealand and Queensland. The tournament will be played across four divisions over four days, with the first round commencing on Sunday 3rd November. All the premier grounds in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie have been booked with the Division 1 final due to be played on the No. 1 Sportsground on Thursday 7th November.

Excitement is building as Newcastle prepares to host the prestigious Australian National Over 50's Cricket Championships from November 2 to 7 this year.
With organisation well advanced, we are thrilled to announce that all the premier grounds in Newcastle, including the recently renovated No.1 Sportsground, which has hosted Sheffield Shield games, have been booked for the event. Alongside top-tier cricket action, a meet & greet event is scheduled, and the presentation night is locked in, promising memorable experiences for all.
Additionally, umpire nominations are in full swing, ensuring the tournament will be officiated by the best in the field. Get ready for an unforgettable week of cricket and camaraderie!
